Evaluation of role of piezo-surgical in mandibular impacted third molar removal

Aim: The purpose of the present research was to assess role piezo-surgical and its effectiveness against conventional techniques for removal impacted mandibular third molar. Methodology: Study included 16 patients (8 male 8 female) age 17 32 years treated in period from 2019 2021. All had both molars impacted. One molar extracted using classical technique while other one a piezo device. Preoperative preparation same all radiological analysis verification teeth by ortopan tomography (OPG) CT. Patients were assessed one, seven 14 days after procedure. Results: After extraction, followed postoperative symptoms: pain, swelling paraesthesia inferior alveolar nerve. results confirmed advantages piezosurgery molars. Average duration intervention 18 minutes with standard 23 minutes. According visual-analogue scale (VAS) average pain group 9 whereas it 6.
